Trench Safety Month - National Trench Safety Stand Down

June is National Trench Safety Stand Down month. In recognition, TrenchTech is offering expert trench safety training and demonstration of our aluminum/steel shoring products. The mission is to address the dangers of trenching and excavation and to bring awareness to proper trench safety.

June 2022 - TrenchTech participated in a successful Trench Safety Stand Down education day hosted by a customer, EK Services. The day consisted of 4 stations, one belonging to TrenchTech which included a shoring 101 and application seminar. TrenchTech setup different steel and aluminum trench boxes to demonstrate assembly, uses, installation, diagnosing trenches for proper shoring applications, and the benefits of shoring vs. benching / sloping. TrenchTech also touched on parts of OSHA 1926 Sub Part P regarding rules and regulations to trenching. The day was a great success with over 100 people participating from EK services, as well as multiple municipalities from the area and other private contractors involved in excavation. TrenchTech received great feedback from those involved that the hands-on seminar was a great learning experience, compared to a classroom setting.
